The Ultimate To-Do List turns "Goal Worthy"

None of these goals are in any particular order. The original order was what popped into my head at the time. Now the lists went through a makeover and have (slightly) matured as I have.


Attainable within the next year (sometime in whatever is left of 2010 to December 31, 2011):
  1. Maintain a GPA above 3.3 (CHECK)
  2. Snowboard or surf (whichever comes first)
  3. Graduate on May 13, 2011 (CHECK)
  4. Start a food fight
  5. Hang out with: Cabañas, Garcia-Serrano, or Tarnoff at some point during or after my college career (haha … I’m pretty sure I still owe Garcia-Serrano un café…) (CHECK)
  6. Drive to the Cape and back
  7. Actually send out postcards instead of buying them, buying the stamps, writing on them, and never sending them. (Sorry guys!) (FAIL)
  8. Learn a bit of French
  9. Better my Spanish (Ala!)
  10. Continue to practice Japanese (ちょっと)

General Life Goals:
  1. Have 4 languages under my belt by the time I’m 30
  2. Go back to New Zealand.
  3. Payback my parents and all my college loans.
  4. Travel around Europe with Emily, Funmi, and Rachel.
  5. Own 5 dogs: Pat, Jesus, Digby, Marley, and Kirk. Alternate names: Squawk and Ka-KAAA!
  6. Learn Tagalog.
  7. Get some poems published.
  8. Go to Hawaii.
  9. Family reunion with the F/L/P alliance.
  10. Meet Uncle Jing’s kids.
  11. Go back to Japan to visit: Tokyo, Nara, Mt. Fuji

Achieved:





  1. Work in a bakery/ be a cake decorator. [CHECK. Technically satisfied when I was 16 years old and had the worst first job experience EVER... but a check nonetheless.]
  2. Eat, drink, and be merry with an important University figure[CHECK]
  3. Go to Japan  [CHECK and it was AMAZING]
  4. Befriend a Canadian in Canada. [CHECK! GO TEAMMATE!]
  5. Tell someone completely random that s/he looks good that day/ tell someone completely randomly that they’re amazing (if s/he deserves to be told) [George Kamel: CHECK]
  6. Learn how to cook actual food. [CHECK]
  7. Get published in some sort of litmag. [CHECK. Thank you Abanico for making me an Assistant Editor]
  8. Know almost every teacher at my university. [CHECK]
  9. Learn to dance salsa, tango, merengue, bachata…[CHECK: Bachata. Gracias Alexa]
  10. Not be afraid of driving highways. [CHECK: Thank youuu Skyhawks.]



Things that I wish could happen, but I’d have to gain at least $500,000 in a short amount of time [Dear lottery god, I rest the fate of my financial position on you] as well as a new and improved, incredibly motivated, positive work ethic:
  1. Own a breakfast/coffeeshop/cupcake café and name it Kristi’s
  2. Buy Dad a boat
  3. Buy the parents a house in Florida
